Ease of Competition
In general, the competition is slightly easier here than at most sites. The limit hold'em games have a lot of new players. While some tables can be tight, in general, the rooms are soft with over 40% seeing the flop. The no-limit games tend to be consistently softer here than at most other online sites.

Poker Software
The site offers a buddy list function, game history and player notes. While the graphics are nice and the functionality is good, unfortunately, the software breaks a golden rule to a strong score- it is just too slow. While the software would otherwise be considered quite good, it provides too much time for each player to act and that diminishes the action and the overall game. This site has limited game variety and primary customer base is in Texas Holdem. You may also have difficulty finding your preferred game stakes at off hours.

The rake at USA Poker is better than average. The general policy is 5% rake taken in increments up to $3. On USA Poker, several fixed limit and short handed tables have lower max rakes. There is a "no rake" policy for hands not reaching the flop.
