Tom Jacobs is a professional poker player with 1 World Series of Poker bracelet. He won the Limit Holdem WSOP event in 2003. He has also won a championship at the 2000 Carnival of Poker. But Tom Jacobs is best know for his head to head loss to Hamid Dastamalchi at the 1992 WSOP $10,000 buy-in holdem main event. In the final hand, he got a bad beat as Dastamalchi hit the one card he needed, 6, to complete his straight with starting hand 4,8 and steal the top prize money of $1,000,000. Tom Jacobs 2nd place finish netted him $353,500. |
