Perry Green

Perry Green has 3 World Series of Poker bracelets including two ace-to-five championships in 1976 and 1977 and a no limit holdem title in 1979. But his most recognizable accomplishment is his loss at the 1981 WSOP main event final table. In head to head matchup against Stu Ungar, Ungar was sitting with A♥ Q♥, and Perry Green was dealt T♠ 9d. Ungar raised as soon as he saw his hand, and Green called. The flop came 8♥ 7d 4♥, giving Ungar a nut flush draw along with two overcards. Perry had nut straight draw, and he moved all-in. He had a total of 12 outs. Ungar immediately called Green. The turn came 4♠, giving nothing to either player, although Ungar held the overcards. Qd hit on the river, giving Ungar an overpair along with his second title in a row and $375.000 in prize money. Perry Green monied $150,000 for his 2nd place finish.
