Marcel Luske
Marcel Luske, called “The Flying Dutchman” on the tournament circuit, is a television phenomenon. Is he a great player? Absolutely…And yet he has not won even one WSOP tournament. But if there is a camera in the poker room, you can be sure it is pointed at Marcel Luske. While not always a favorite of opponents, the tall, blonde and handsome, Amsterdan born Luske entertains the viewing audience with his singing. Marcel has been playing poker since 1999, but it was his second place finish in the Stud event and tenth place finish in the 2004 World Series of Poker Main Event that catapulted him into the limelight. In the main event, most viewers can still remember Luske making a laydown preflop and announcing to his opponent, "Your kings are good." The other player replied, "You mean my ace-king?" to which Marcel replied: "No, your pocket kings."
