Eric Seidel
Erik Seidel was born and raised in New York. He started out as a professional backgammon player and spent eight years on the tournament backgammon circuit before moving on to playing the stock market and, finally, to poker. He has 7 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets and is the only player on both the WSOP and the Bellagio top 10 all time money lists. Despite a storied career, he is most known for a loss. In 1988 he lost to Johnny Chan in the finals; and that final hand footage was used in the movie “Rounders”.
