Dewey Tomko

Dewey Toko was born Glassport, Pennsylvania and currently resides in Winterhaven, Florida. He us a kindergarten teacher turned professional poker player. Tomko is primarily recognized for his runner-up finishes in the 1982 and 2001 World Series of Poker (WSOP) $10,000 No Limit Holdem main event. He was on the losing end in heads up final action in 1982, to Jack "Treetop" Straus, and in 2001 to Carlos Mortensen. His ability to overcome huge fields to make the final two on these two occasions- in the most presigious event each year- puts him in elite company. Tomko has also made two World Poker Tour (WPT) final tables.
