David Williams

David Williams is currently a student of Economics at Southern Methodist University and a professional musician. Having been tutored by
Marcel Luske, Williams's biggest poker success was at the 2004 World Series of Poker when he finishing second to Greg "Fossilman" Raymer. He won $3.5 million for the runner-up prize. It was the highest finish by an African American in a WSOP Main Event, besting Phil Ivey's 10th place finish a year earlier. Williams qualified through an online poker site. Since then, he has made numerous final tables and already increased his total poker winnings to over $5 million.
