Bill Smith
Bill Smith placed 5th in the 1981 and 1986 World Series of Poker main event. But in 1985, he overcame 140 entrants to win the Texas Holdem title and $700,000. In that final hand against TJ Cloutier, Smiths pocket 3’s held up to Cloutiers A-3 and brought Smith his one and only WSOP bracelet. Sadly, Bill Smith passed away in 1987. |
