Amir Vahedi
Amir Vahedi left the Iranian army at his mother's behest and got bounced from country to country as a war refugee before finally landing in Los Angeles, California. After owning several businesses in the United States, Amir found his calling as a profession poker player. In 2003, Vahedi finished 6th at the final table of the World Series of Poker main event winning $250,000. Vahedi has won over $2,700,000 in live tournament play and he has one WSOP bracelet. His one WSOP bracelet came earlier in the 2003 WSOP series when he won a separate no limit texas holdem event and $270,000.
